THE PAJAMAS FREGOLA
Think of all those slob-out Sundays bed-to-sofa sofa-to-bed. All those on strike Saturdays chillaxing with Netflix or a movie. All those Monday mornings we hit the snooze button. Think of that whole body-becoming-one-with-pyjamas that makes a girl forget she was ever a woman some weekends. Think of Anna Wintour hanging out with the Devil Wears Prada because she can’t be bothered to go in to the office. Then think of what fashion has come up with recently to make sure us girls stay comfy and cozy: guy’s pyjamas (along with robe and nightdress, although clearly not all in one outfit) worn to step out day or night looking chicer than ever.
Thank you God. I’m emotional.
Ask me it’s the greatest invention since sneakers and slippers with evening-wear.
You can wear it total look like a tux 2.0, or just the top as an out-of-the-ordinary shirt over jeans or under a sweater like we forgot to take it off when we went out. Just one thing to keep in mind for all those who like me have a bedroom fregola: what we’re aiming for is sumptuous silk, sophisticated color block or floral designs – flowing styles, brocades, maybe even stripes or gingham. Not Aunt Pina style flannel…
